Chef Bio

Chef Michael Ceraldi’s mission is to compose dishes that honor nature. Ceraldi aims to celebrate the love, joy, and pleasure of people coming together to experience great food, drink, friendship and family.

Ceraldi’s passion for food began at infancy bundled closely to his Italian mother in their warm kitchen filled with the nurturing aromatics of homemade Italian delicacies.  The Ceraldi family has eaten like generations before them—seasonally available or ‘put-up’ ingredients were crafted into the stuff of memories.  In the winter, savory chicken cacciatore with polenta and sweet nutmeg, browned sugar and delicate plum gnocchi satisfied his growing appetite.  In springtime the family enjoyed the bright offerings of fresh herbs sprinkled over greens glistening with garlic and oil, creamy asparagus risotto with lemon zest, and prosciutto, pea and mascarpone ravioli.  The garden bounty brought mountains of fruits and vegetables. Lovingly transformed, they became preserves and tarts, and of course the absolute best eggplant parmigiana (Chef's mother's closely guarded recipe) has been gracing the Ceraldi table for decades.

Cape Cod has a unique biodynamic system which farmers, fishermen, hunters, and gatherers have revered throughout history for its rich biodiversity.  The network that Ceraldi relies upon to source ingredients works to protect our ecosystem by practicing sustainable and Earth-courteous harvesting techniques.
